In an open letter to the Romanian Prime Minister, Mr Marcel Ciolacu, and the Romanian Minister of Culture, Mrs Natalia-Elena Intotero, the board of the European Theatre Convention network of theatres (representing 79 theatres from 33 countries, including 6 theatres in Romania) express concern about proposed new recruitment requirements for general managers of public cultural institutions, which no longer requires professional expertise from the sector.
